Base Location: Hong Kong (preferred) or Singapore (For Singapore: Citizens or PRs of certain nationalities)

Expert level know-how owner of Sell Side Solutions for Brokers and Investment Banks, a market respected, reputable professional, a key senior enabler to Sales team.

 

Sales Architect – Sell-side (Brokers Network & Investment Banks), works as an Individual Contributor and a respected expert in the industry who can  provide consulting level support to APAC Sales with sales segmentation, APAC solutioning across public & private markets, establish APAC marketing channels, industry knowledge sharing with C-levels / Executive clients, attend client meetings, speak at industry panels, collaborate with APAC Sell-side Markets Sales team to support them with sell.

Sales Architect for Sell-side Solutions typically comes from a reputable background of large banking / capital markets solution providers such as Bloomberg, Broadridge, R3, SAP, Oracle, Temenos, FIS, Finastra, Avaloq, Calypso, Edgeverve, TCS but could also be principals, senior managers, and directors from the Financial Services arms of organizations such as Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, CapGemini, PWC, IBM, Infosys as well as Sell Side SME in Banks / Brokerage Firms with multi company experience under his/her belt equipped  with extensive Capital Markets / Sell-side experience.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Position our client’s Front-to-Back Financial Technology and/or services catered to the Sell-side clients and Investment Bank (front office multi-asset trading across equities/ listed derivatives/ OTC, ECM & DCM, risk management, post-trade operations, trade processing).
  • Solicits and maintains network of prospects and partners.
  • Demonstrate multi asset class knowledge (subject matter expertise level) of the APAC sell-side industry, market insights & client challenges, and familiarity with competing solutions to well position our client to win.
  • Establish and own the plans and strategies aimed at serving and expanding the Banking and Financial Services customer base in the assigned region.
  • Assist in the development of sales tactics, strategies and collaborate with the product management and solicit Global marketing resources to scale APAC Sell-side business.
  • Help negotiate, structure, and close “deals” that meet customer expectations and ability to deliver; utilize appropriate company resources per the resources plan to provide product marketing support or specialized product sales expertise.
  • Assisting in the development of sales plans and strategies, while also implementing pursuit plans to ensure timely and clearly forecasted closure of identified opportunities.
  • Be part of the regional and global reporting, forecasting, pipeline management cycles.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in supporting business development or business consulting; proven track record of subject matter expertise in the Sell-side business & Investment Banking.
  • Excellent speaker, presenter and relationship manager to C-Levels about his / her SME, at ease with senior management because (s)he is also one and has been in this practice for a number of years
  • Broad experience dealing with multiple / large clients within the domain and has principal consulting level network (C-levels and Executives)
  • Strong knowledge about the local regulations and pressures that broker-dealers and investment banks face.
  • Knowledge of Sell-side / Capital Markets Management Software Sales.
  • Ability to lead from consultative perspective complex sales engagements where appropriate and to manage major/strategic accounts.
  • Demonstrated successful track record in Sales and Account Management; experience in complex sales including engaging early in the customer buying cycle at senior levels, building long-term strategic and executive relationships, and opportunity planning.
  • Strong commercial awareness, excellent client facing and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be comfortable traveling to customers sites – 20% to 30%.
  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent.
