This position is based in Singapore covering the APAC market. Our client is a Global FinTech Leader, with groundbreaking state-of-the-art banking and payments solutions and services to local and multinational banks globally. They provide modular and integrated software solutions across all areas of Banking and Financial Services.
The Regional Managing Director will hold a senior-level position with responsibility for people management and sales throughout the APAC region. She/he will report directly to the APAC VP of Sales on all sales activities and forecasts. The role’s focus will be growing the business through sales in the assigned region with their team. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to execute a sales strategy to drive business growth effectively within APAC. The successful candidate will be a well-respected, well-connected professional in the APAC Banking and Financial Services Industry at C-levels, with a proven record in high-value financial software solution sales.
The Regional Managing Director is expected to be at a senior director level, similar to those from core/complex banking solution providers such as Temenos, Mambu, ACI, Avaloq, Thought Machine, Sopra Banking Software, Profile Software, Infosys–Edgeverve, ERI Bancaire, Finastra, FIS Global, Fiserv, TCS, OFS, Tuum or similar.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop sales plans, goals, strategies, and objectives to achieve team goals and sales/revenue objectives.
- Identify critical market segments through market research and competitor analyses and recommend sales strategies for improvement.
- Plan, develop, and execute campaigns of Banking Solutions in APAC.
- Meet/exceed targets to pursue client prospects representing high-value opportunities.
- Responsible for activities involved in selling products and/or services (Banking and Payments – SaaS/BaaS), developing new accounts, and/or expanding existing accounts.
- Contribute to our client’s strategic growth by driving sales across the APAC region, expanding its market presence and customer base, and enhancing its position to further build up market value in the region.
- Establish trust and credibility with key external stakeholders to influence purchasing decisions and strengthen the reputation of our client in the region.
- Implement and execute sales policies and practices.
- Provide executive leadership with regular updates, precise reports, and accurate forecasts on sales activities.
Job requirements:
- Hunter and closer
- 15+ years of Complex Banking and Payments Solutions Sales experience with direct experience in the APAC region; and a proven track record of selling into and managing strategic accounts of Tier 1 Banks and Financial Institutions.
- A respected name in the APAC banking community
- Strong C-Level Relationship Management in the Banking and Financial Services Sector.
- Excellent knowledge of banking processes and operations.
- Ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of a client’s business, identifying challenges and opportunities as well as how to position solutions to address those needs.
- Accomplished in overseeing the ongoing growth and performance of the sales team, providing regular coaching and training, ensuring the sales process is carried out smoothly, and leading the team to achieve and surpass their sales goals.
- Well-versed in utilizing internal resources and external partnerships to deliver maximum value to customers.
- Fluent English a must.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
