This role is an individual contributor position responsible for driving new business sales within the Financial Services sector across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The successful candidate will be instrumental in achieving sales targets, developing strategic account plans, and expanding our client’s presence in the region through tailored sales strategies aligned with the regional growth objectives.

Our client is a global leader in FinTech, offering cutting-edge banking and payments solutions to both local and multinational financial institutions. They provide modular, integrated software solutions that span all areas of banking and financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively network, engage, identify, and close sales opportunities
  • Establish strong relationships with senior decision-makers in banks and financial institutions across MENA
  • Meet sales objectives by engaging potential clients to sell banking and payments software, as well as related services as needed
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships within the banking sector
  • Develop insights and strategies for successful sales campaigns in competitive bid scenarios
  • Own and implement plans to expand the client base within the banking and financial services sector
  • Identify key market opportunities to build a strong sales pipeline and meet annual sales targets
  • Provide accurate forecasts for short, medium, and long-term sales cycles
  • Participate in regional and global sales reporting, projections, and pipeline management

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven ability as a “Hunter” and “Closer”
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in sales and account management, specializing in complex banking, core banking, or payment solutions within the MENA region
  • A successful track record of closing sales in core banking and/or payment solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of and strong network within the MENA banking and financial sector
  • Strong business acumen in banking and payment solutions
  • Ability to manage complex sales processes and major strategic accounts
  • Experience in senior-level sales, building executive relationships, and opportunity planning
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills
  • Willingness to travel as necessary
  • Expert negotiation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • Fluent in English (mandatory), Arabic language skills are highly preferred

Ideal Candidates:
Candidates with experience selling banking and payment solutions from providers such as FIS, FINASTRA, TEMENOS, Oracle (OFS), FiServ, Mambu, Backbase, TCS BANCS, Nucleus Software, nCino, TurnKey Lender, 10X, Q2 Software, Tuum, SAP, Calypso, Murex, Edgeverve, 3i Infotech, ACI, FundTech, SAP Financials, ION, Broadbridge, SS&C, or Smartstream are preferred. Additionally, senior managers or directors from the financial services divisions of consulting firms like Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, CapGemini, PWC, IBM, Infosys, or similar, who have sold core banking and payments software (not just services) in MENA, would be strong candidates.
