This role is a senior individual contributor position responsible for driving new business sales within the Financial Services sector, specifically focused on Payment Solutions, across the MEA region. The successful candidate will be instrumental in achieving sales targets, developing strategic account plans, and expanding our client’s presence in the region through tailored sales strategies aligned with the regional growth objectives.

They provide modular, integrated software solutions that span all areas of banking and financial services. In addition to already holding the top spot in FinTech Banking Solutions, they are rapidly progressing to the No.1 spot in Payments Landscape globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and close sales opportunities by networking and engaging with prospects for our client’s Payment Solutions
  • Establish strong relationships with senior decision-makers in banks and financial institutions across the MEA region
  • Meet sales objectives by engaging potential clients to sell Payments software, as well as related services as needed
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships within the banking sector and regulators
  • Develop insights and strategies for successful sales campaigns in competitive bid scenarios
  • Own and implement plans to expand the client base within the banking and financial services sector
  • Identify key market opportunities to build a strong sales pipeline and meet annual sales targets
  • Provide accurate forecasts for short, medium, and long-term sales cycles
  • Participate in regional and global sales reporting, projections, and pipeline management

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven ability as a “Hunter” and “Closer”
  • Strong software product sales experience in Enterprise Payments, Card Management, Issuance, Payment Gateways and Switch within the MEA region
  • A successful track record of closing sales in payment solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of and strong network within the MEA banking and financial sector as well as regulatory bodies
  • Strong business acumen in payment solutions
  • Ability to manage complex sales processes and major strategic accounts
  • Experience in senior-level sales, building executive relationships, and opportunity planning
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills
  • Willingness to travel as necessary
  • Expert negotiation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • Fluent in English (mandatory), Arabic language skills are strongly preferred
